Cool crewel embroidery books, websites, blogs and pictures
This is my new stash of crewel wool. Very precious! I got it in a swap with Whizz Me.
It is Appleton’s 2ply crewel wool. The colors are lovely. I am getting stressed about what I should do with it exactly. I want to read more about techniques before I dig into it. (Although I did use some pink for a certain mouse’s nose.)

Hi Heather! I would love to get a crewel along going. I have not donw any crewel embroidery since grade school…oh, 30 years ago. I am going to do a needle book with crewel cover using a pattern form theNEw Crewel. Just to warm up for somethign more courageous. I also emailed Zoe, about a crewel along. My blog is only a few weeks old, I don;t think I have many eyes yet and thought perhaps if possible some sort of post on whip up would get more attention. I see both you and Zoe are whip authors. so let me know if that is in the realm of possibilites. I am also interested in Japanese sashiko, but I think I will save that for another lifetime. I would like to link to one of your blogs, whcih would you prefer? LLife in Japan must be quite different from life in Ireland!
